IPPE 2019: Phytogenius – because gut instinct is not enough

The International Production & Processing Expo in Atlanta is the world's largest annual poultry, meat and feed industry event of its kind. The Launch of a new product was just one of Delacon’s highlights at this year’s trade show.

If you are looking for experts in phytogenics you can’t get past Delacon. If you are working in the feed, meat or poultry industry, Atlanta (USA) was the place to be, from February 12 to 14. If you haven’t had the chance to join this year’s IPPE, check out our highlights.

At Delacon, we participate with great joy and enthusiasm at IPPE each year. We are happy that our booth is a platform for esteemed business partners, distributors and customers to meet as well as experiencing the Delacon brand, and with us the “performing nature“ attitude.

“Livestock producers aim to treat poultry without antibiotics, by using natural products. Supplementing broiler and turkey diets with BiostrongÂź Protect can help the bird to overcome critical stages in better conditions,” says Tobias Steiner, Head of Strategic Marketing.

To address those concerns in poultry production, we believe protection is better than cure. Therefore, we trust in the power of nature and brought a new product to the market during IPPE. BiostrongÂź Protect addresses top concerns in the poultry production. The product was designed to satisfy the needs of modern animal feeding strategies. Intestinal disorders, such as coccidiosis and necrotic enteritis cause more than 5 billion US$ globally.

Francisco E. Dias shows the audience effective strategies for poultry production

Phytogenius minds in action

Francisco E. Dias, our Customer Technical Service Manager Poultry participated at the Tech Talks at this year’s IPPE. He talked about “The synergy of phytogenic feed additives with anticoccidial medication on broiler performance”. Due to an increasing demand for antibiotic-free meat production the poultry industry is facing many challenges in gut health an intestinal integrity.

Therefore, companies focus on effective strategies to overcome these challenges related to coccidiosis, necrotic enteritis and dysbacteriosis. Phytogenic feed additives are based on plant-derived, bio-active components that can help with these challenges.
